Police seizes banned gutka worth Rs 32 lakh

Eluru, Feb 27 (UNI) The police seized banned gutka worth Rs 32,23,000 while being unloaded from a container truck at a godown at Pedadatepalli village near Tadepalli Gudem town in West Godavari district on Wednesday.

On a tip off, the police team led by SI Badam Srinivas conducted a raid on the godown and seized the gutka bundles while being unloaded from a container truck.

 The police held Chillamcharla Prasad, Chillamcharla Sreenu and the driver of container truck Surendra Sharma. CI P Srinivas said that said that the banned gutka is imported from Orissa state and investigation was launched.
