Police encounter kills two criminals in Barabanki

Barabanki, June 28 (UNI): Two dreaded criminals from Sitapur were killed in an encounter with police here in Baddupur police station area on late Thursday night.

In the encounter a police inspector and a constable received bullet injuries and were rushed to the Trauma centre in Lucknow.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Barabanki Ajay Sahani said here on Friday morning that the deceased criminals Jubair and Lomas Lonia, were native of Rampur Mathura area of Sitapur.

Jubair had a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head while Lonia had a reward of Rs 25,000.

The criminals were planning for a bank robbery in Ramnagar. Both the criminals had over three dozen of criminal cases registered against them and were also running a gang.
