Munger, Apr 24 (UNI) BJP president Amit Shah today asserted that people of the country were safe now from the external assault after Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated several effective steps for it.

Addressing an election meeting in favour of JD (U) candidate and state water resources minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Mr Shah said that surgical strike was carried out against terrorists in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and also inside Pakistan during the present dispensation in the Centre.

Drawing a comparison between Narendra Modi government and former UPA government, Mr Shah said, “Former Congress led UPA government had kept quiet when heads of Indian soldiers were chopped. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh continued to remain Mauni Baba”.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had replied to Pakistan supported terrorist attack in Pulwama by carrying out air strike on Pakistani terrorist camps.

BJP president said that people of Bihar had yet not forgotten the ‘terror and corruption’ prevailing during former Lalu-Rabri regime.

Deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi also exhorted people to make JD (U) candidate Mr Singh victorious from Munger seat.
