"Create an image of the party and government in the hearts of the poorest of poor. Emerge not just as a political force by winning polls but also as a social force," Modi was quoted as saying in the meeting by NDTV.

Meanwhile, the Congress slammed Modi over the remarks.

Congress leader Randeep S Surjewala tweeted: "Modiji, Pseudo-Nationalism can never cover up the smokescreen of fake & false promises."
