PM Modi congratulates team India on win against Pakistan
New Delhi, Feb 15 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the Indian cricket team for its big victory against Pakistan in the ongoing World Cup in Australia.
"Congrats Team India. Well played. We are all very proud of you," tweeted Modi after Pakistan was beaten.
Riding on a big knock of Virat Kohli, India beat arch rivals Pakistan by 76 runs to register a spectacular win in their World Cup encounter at Adelaide on Sunday.
With their batsmen surrendering one after another, Pakistan were far away from the 301 run target India set for them riding on a scintillating century of Virat Kohli (107). Pakistan were all out for 224 runs in 47 overs.
