Divya Deshmukh defeated senior master Koneru Humpy to clinch the FIDE Women’s World Cup title in Georgia on Monday.
Deshmukh, 19, became the country's first woman Grandmaster in the grand final clash via tie-break.
With the win, she is now eligible to become India’s fourth woman Grandmaster.
