PM Modi condemns Bangkok blast

Abu Dhabi, Aug 17 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condemned the blast which rocked Thai capital Bangkok that killed at least 12 people.

"I strongly condemn the blast in Bangkok. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased. I pray for a speedy recovery of the injured," Modi tweeted.

A blast in Thai capital Bangkok has left at least 12 people killed and several others injured on Monday, media reports said.

The blast occurred close to the Erawan Shrine in  central Chidlom district.

There is huge amount of chaos in the area following the blast.

"The attack took place close to the Erawan Shrine in the capital's central Chidlom district," BBC reported.

The blast reportedly occurred at around 19:00 local time.
