PM Modi calls for unity in the monsoon session of the parliament

New Delhi, July 17 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday called for a unity among all political parties of the nation in the monsoon session of the parliament, which began this morning.

PM Modi made the comment while he was giving a statement before the beginning of the monsoon session.

Hoping for a productive session, the prime minister said: "I believe all parties, MPs will work for the welfare of the country. I hope they will engage themselves into discussions."

"I hope all political parties of India will take positive decisions and do value addition to the issues that will come up in the parliament," Modi added.

However, both the houses of the parliament were adjourned till Tuesday.

Apart from the beginning of monsoon session, the presidential election is also taking place in the parliament on Monday.

PM Modi has already voted in the presidential poll.
