PM-JAY SEHAT scheme: ‘All ration card holders of Srinagar to get Golden Cards’

Srinagar/IBNS: In order to ensure every citizen of Srinagar District is provided a Golden Card which entitles them to benefits under the PM-JAY SEHAT scheme, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Muhammed Aijaz Asad Monday chaired a meeting.

During the meet, the DC finalised the action plan for providing Golden Cards to all ration card holders of Srinagar under PM-JAY SEHAT scheme.

The DC also directed the FCS&CA officers to work in proper coordination with the State Health Agency of Ayushman Bharat and District Coordinator CSC.

Highlighting the objectives of the scheme, the DC said the PM-JAY SEHAT scheme is aimed to provide free of cost medical treatment to any sick person.

The DC said if a member of the golden card holding family is suffering from any disease, they can get up to Rs five lakh treatment in any designated government or empanelled private hospital for free.

Presence of adequate manpower (VLEs) at the Tehsil Supplies Offices and ration stores to enroll maximum beneficiaries to achieve the cent percent target was also stressed upon by Asad.
