Plane skids off runway in US, 6 killed

New York, Mar 6 (IBNS): A plane from Atlanta skidded off a runway at New York City's LaGuardia Airport while landing during a snowstorm, injuring 6 on Thursday, reports said.

Photos showed the nose of the plane resting on a berm which separates the runway from Flushing Bay.

The fatal flight, Delta Flight 1086, carrying 125 passengers and five crew members, veered off the runway at around 11:10 AM.

Six people were injured but were safe.
