PDP worker shot at in Pulwama

Srinagar, July 29 (UNI): A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) worker was shot by unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said.

Source said Lateef Ahmad Shah was fired in an orchard in his native village Matrigam in Pulwama.

Shah who suffered bullet wounds in his abdomen and was immediately taken to nearby hospital in critical condition from where he was referred to Srinagar.

A tweet on official handle of PDP said “Attacking political workers who dedicate their lives to the cause of serving common masses is an unfortunate act. We condemn in strongest possible terms attack on our senior worker Lateef Ah Shah from Mitrigam, Pulwama. We pray for his speedy recovery”.
