Parliament passes HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Bill

New Delhi, Apr 11 (IBNS): The Parliament on Tuesday passed the HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Bill, which will provide equal rights while seeking treatment for the disease.

The bill will also ensure equal opportunities in matters of education and job for people living with HIV.

Following the passage of the bill, Union Health Minister JP Nadda tweeted: "The #HIVAIDSBill puts obligations of the establishments to provide safe working environment for the #HIV affected people."

The bill attempts to protect people with HIV against any sorts of discrimination.
