Islamabad, Mar 7 (IBNS):  Pakistan has blocked United Nations from interviewing 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed, who resides in Pakistan.

According to reports, the visa applications of a team from the United Nations were rejected by Pakistan consulate in New York.

Hafiz Saeed has moved the United Nations to remove his name from the UNSC 1267 sanctions list which is a list of UN recognized terrorists.

As per the norm, before removing a person from the list, the UN conducts an in-person interview.

However, they failed to do it in case of Saeed.

According to reports, Pakistan fears that Saeed would reveal incriminating evidence against the country and their support to various terror outfits which operate from its territory.

The 2008 Mumbai attacks, were twelve coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across Mumbai by members of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
