Opposition should introspect on why BJP returned to power: JP Nadda

| @indiablooms | Jun 24, 2019, at 05:29 pm

New Delhi, Jun 24 (UNI) Pointing out that despite frequent disruptions in the Rajya Sabha by it over the past five years, people have returned Mr Narendra Modi and the BJP to power, party's J P Nadda on Monday asked the Opposition to indulge in some introspection.

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha after moving the motion of Thanks to the President address, Nadda hit out at the Congress saying, 'We agree to disagree but we should not disagree just for the sake of disagreeing. If despite the disruptions, the BJP has returned to power with a bigger mandate, the opposition should indulge in introspection.’’

He said that after Modi became the Prime Minister, the world has started viewing India with greater respect.

'Earlier, India was just a spectator on the world stage. However, after the NDA came to power under the leadership of Modi, the country has become a player. Nothing makes it more evident than the fact that the UN secretary general himself came to India to confer the champion of the earth award to the PM,’’ Nadda said.
