Opposition behaving as if my jawans need EC's permission to kill militants: Modi

| @indiablooms | May 12, 2019, at 03:57 pm

Kushinagar, May 12 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attacked the Opposition and said they were behaving as if soldiers needed to take the Election Commission's permission before firing at militants.

Speaking at an election rally here, Modi said: "The opposition has turned it into a joke!”

Modi said news reports on Sunday morning said some militants had been killed by security forced.

"Now some people have a problem - at a time when voting is on, why did Modi get the militants killed?" he said.

"When they are standing right there with bombs and guns, will my jawans have to go to the Election Commission to get permission to kill them?" he said.

"Since we have come, cleaning (of terrorists) takes place in Kashmir every two-three days," the PM said. "This cleaning drive is my job."
