New Delhi/IBNS: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has met Prime Minister Narendra Modi after intense overnight military faceoff between India and Pakistan amid the bilateral conflict, media reports said.

The Prime Minister also met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar after Pakistan resorted to unprovoked attack on India which countered the onslaughts befittingly.

Pakistan on Friday launched drone attacks along India's northern and western borders targeting military infrastructures in 26 locations.

The targeted locations include airfields, military bases, civil aviation facilities. India has successfully repelled all attacks.

Several explosions were reported to have taken place in Srinagar this morning.

In an unfortunate incident, a senior Jammu and Kashmir official was killed in a Pakistani shelling in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday, UT's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said.

The deceased Indian official was identified as Additional District Development Commissioner Raj Kumar Thappa.

In a retaliation against the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor hitting nine terrorist bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The military conflict escalated after Pakistan targeted civilians across the borders without any provocation to be aptly countered by the Indian military.
