One dead, six injured in road mishap in Uttar Pradesh

Saharanpur, Mar 11 (UNI) One person was killed and six others injured when a SUV fell into a canal after losing control in the Deoband Kotwali area in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Monday.

According to police sources, 12 people on board were returning to the Majhol Jabardastpur village after attending a wedding function at Ambehta Shekha.

Meanwhile, the driver lost control over the vehicle which then fell into a canal.

People present nearby rescued the people from the car and six injured were sent to the district hospital where one Kamal succumbed to his injuries.

The injured have been identified as the driver Pankaj, Sorang, his father Suresh, Sunny, Ram Pal and Rajendra.
