Odisha: Two school students injure in explosion inside school campus

Bhubaneswar,Jul 20 (UNI) Two students were injured in a crude bomb explosion inside Magura UP school under Aska block in Odisha’s Ganjam district today.

Police said the incident occurred at about 1000 hours when one student picked up a bundle lying on the campus of the school when it went off injuring two students.


It was not immediately clear the reason behind the explosion. Senior police officials have rushed to the school and started probing into the incident.


The two injured students first rushed to the Aska Community Health centre and later shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhumpur.


School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash has directed the District Education Officer (DEO) to conduct a probe and submit report within a week.
