Obama's Taj Mahal visit cancelled

Agra, Jan 24 (IBNS) US President Barack Obama, who arrives in Delhi on Sunday on a three-day visit, has cancelled his Agra trip.
Confirming this,  Agra's District Magistrate Pankaj Kumar on Saturday  told NDTV that the US President has cancelled his plans to visit Taj Mahal  on January 27, the last day of his itinerary.
 
However, there is no official word from the US or Indian government yet.
 
Uttar Pradesh's Principal Secretary Navneet Sehgal said  American security team has left Agra.
 
Accompanied by wife Michelle, Obama is coming on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 
He is scheduled to attend the Republic Day parade on January 26 besides taking part in a host of other programmes.
