Obama, Modi establish secure phone line to elevate Indo-US partnership
New Delhi, Aug 25 (IBNS) Reflecting the close ties between the U.S. and Indian democracies as outlined in the Jan 25 this year, Delhi Declaration of Friendship, U.S. President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed to establish secure phone lines.
The step has been taken to further discuss their commitment to a long-term partnership for prosperity and peace for the global community.
The leaders’ ability to make secure phone calls illustrates the elevation of the strategic plus partnership between the White House and the Prime Minister’s Office.
