NRS: Family identifies dead man

Kolkata, Nov 18 (IBNS): The man, who was found dead in the boys' hostel of the NRS Medical College and Hospital was identified on Tuesday.

His family members and friends came to the Entally Police Station and identified him.

According to reports, the man was identified as Korban Shah and he was a resident of Khaijuri village in Howrah district.

His friends said that he was a brocade-worker and lived in Mumbai.

Four years ago he had lost his mental balance after an accident.

His family said  he was never involved in any theft case.

The Uluberia Police Station also confirmed that he did not have any criminal record.

The police have not arrested anyone in connection with this case so far.

The man died after he was allegedly bobbitised and beaten up by students and junior doctors of Kolkata's NRS Medical College and Hospital, the police said on Sunday.
