Nine persons arrested on charges of lending money on exorbitant interest

Bengaluru, June 29 (UNI) DCP North Division Police in the City, in a special drive launched, have nabbed 9 people, including a woman, who were collecting very high rate of interest illegally by lending loans to vulnerable people including street side vendors.

Police said they also recovered from them Rs 13.16 lakh cash, 145 Blank Cheques drawn on various Banks, 5 E Stamp papers, 3 Sale deeds of properties, 6 Bond Papers, 2 General Power of Authority (GPA) papers, papers of 4 two wheeler mortgaged.

The arrested were identified as S Jayaram, Venkatesh, Sujatha, Dilip, P B Ramakrishna, Kumar, K M Jagadish, Nagaraj and Venkatesh.

Police have registered 10 cases against the arrested and looking out for some more culprits who escaped during the raid.
