Netaji Subhas aide Colonel Nizamuddin passes away at 116 years

Lucknow, Feb 6 (IBNS): Colonel Nizamuddin, who served as a driver and bodyguard to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, passed away on Monday morning, according to media reports.

He was a member of the Azad Hind Fauz or the INA, and one of those who believed Netaji did not die in the plane crash, media reported.

Colonel Nizamuddin hit the headlines last year when he opened a bank account at the age of 116 years.

He was living in Dhakwa village in Mubarakpur area in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, with his wife and youngest son.
