Narendra Modi wishes Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for winning Brazil's presidential poll
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wished Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on winning the Presidential elections in Brazil and said he is looking forward to strengthening bilateral relationship with him.
"Congratulations to LulaOficial on winning the Presidential elections in Brazil. I look forward to working closely together to further deepen and widen our bilateral relations, as also our cooperation on global issues," PMO India tweeted.

Modi said he is aiming to cooperate on global issues with the Brazilian leader.
Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has defeated far-right incumbent Jair Bolsonaro in the presidential polls to make a strong comeback.
After a divisive campaign which saw two bitter rivals on opposite sides of the political spectrum go head to head, Lula won 50.9% of the votes, BBC reported.
The vote percentage was enough for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to win the poll.
It is a stunning comeback for a politician who could not run in the last presidential election in 2018 because he was in jail and banned from standing for office, reports BBC.
He was found guilty of receiving a bribe from a Brazilian construction firm in return for contracts with Brazil's state oil company Petrobras.
Lula spent 580 days in jail before his conviction was annulled and he returned to the political fray, the British media reported.
