Mumbai: Fire breaks out in highrise, rescue operation on

Mumbai, June 13 (IBNS): A major fire broke out at a Mumbai highrise on Wednesday as fire tenders have rushed to the spot to douse the flame.

According to reports, fire broke out in the building at around 2 pm.

The fire was first reported on the 33rd floor of the Beaumonde Towers. It later spread to the 32nd floor of the building.

Six fire engines and five water tankers are currently at the spot.

Mumbai Police tweeted: "Our staff & Fire Brigade is on the spot for assistance. They are trying their best to douse the fire and provide necessary help to people there. "

So far, 90 people have been reportedly evacuated from the building.

No injury has been reported so far.

The cause of the fire is still not known.

Several celebrities stay in the building.
