MPCC president condoles Arun Jaitley's demise

Aurangabad, Aug 24 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Balasaheb Thorat condoled the demise of senior BJP leader and former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who passed away in New Delhi on Saturday.

In his press statement to media, Thorat said saddened to hear about the untimely demise of senior BJP leader and former union minister Arun Jaitley.

''My heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace. #ArunJaitley,'' he said.

Thorat further stated that Jaitely, who was also a leading lawyer, worked in different capacities in his life, including ABVP leadership, MP, Opposition leader in Rajya Sabhaa during UPA government, Information and broadcasting minister, defence minister and finance minister in Modi-led NDA-1 Government.
