According to Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Horrific tales of schoolchildren, including young girls, being kidnapped and murdered are also emerging. Over 6,000 FIRs were filed by various people, including a rape case.

Regarding the case of two women paraded without clothes, seven people, including one juvenile, have been arrested or apprehended, police said.

Many cases were also filed as photographs and videos of the incident were circulated freely, some of which were found edited, and the faces of juveniles were not blurred.
