Modi shocked as Chinese cruise sinks

New Delhi, June 2 (IBNS) Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has expressed shock at the sinking of a cruise ship in the Yangtze River in China.

"Shocked to learn of the sinking of a cruise ship in the Yangtze River. I pray for the safety and wellbeing of those on board," the Prime Minister said.

Hundreds of people missing in the incident as they may have drowned or got trapped inside the vessel which is floating upside down, .

The cruise sank when it was on its way back from a trip with 458 people, most of them elderly persons.
