Miscreants torch BJP leader’s bus in Assam’s Morigaon district

Guwahati/IBNS: At a time when protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 are going on across Assam, some BJP ministers, MLAs and leaders were targeted by some protesters in many places of the state.

In one such incident in Assam’s Morigaon district, miscreants allegedly torched a bus belonging to a BJP leader in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The incident took place at Mayong area in the central Assam district.

The bus belonged to Ram Prasad Sarkar – general secretary of BJP’s Morigaon district unit.

According to the reports, the bus was parked on a road just in front of the BJP leader residence.

Locals alleged that, some miscreants had torched the bus.

Police investigation is going on.
