Maoists attack Odisha railway station, trigger explosions to protest PM Modi's proposed visit

Bhubaneswar, Mar 31 (IBNS) : Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Odisha, armed Maoists attacked a railway station on Friday morning and detonated two explosions.

No injuries have been reported.

According to reports, a  30-strong group of Maoists that attacked Doikallu railway station in the tribal-dominated  Rayagada district, first pulled out the station master and ransacked his room before triggering explosions in the station premises.

They  left behind posters protesting Modi's proposed visit to the state on April 15 and 16.

Train services through Daikallu were disrupted for sometime following the incident.
