Manish Sisodia releases AAP campaign song "Lage Raho Kejriwal"
New Delhi/UNI: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia here on Saturday launched the party's campaign song, titled 'Lage Raho Kejriwal' (Keep going Kejriwal) for Delhi Assembly elections.
The song has been inspired from 'Acche beete 5 Saal, Lage Raho Kejriwal' slogan given by citizens of Delhi. It is sung and composed by famous Bollywood singer Vishal Dadlani, who had also composed the '5 Saal Kejriwal' track for 2015 Assembly elections.
Rajya Sabha Member Sanjay Singh and leader Atishi were also present at the launch.
During the press conference, Sisodia lambasted at the Bharatiya Janata Party for insulting Delhiites by calling them 'Bikau' (up for sale) and asked the party to apologise to the citizens of the union territory.
"BJP should not forget that the citizens are masters and government is their servants. Access to basic facilities like education, health, water and electricity is their right," the senior Aam Aadmi Party leader said.
The Deputy CM on Saturday morning also announced to have collected Rs 28 lakhs through crowdfunding. "Mission accomplished! 28 Lakhs required to fight election in my assembly raised online through crowdfunding in just 2 days! Big thanks to each of the 1310 donors who made it possible. U give me confidence that people of our country strongly want to stand behind clean politics," he tweeted.
The Delhi Assembly elections 2020 will be held in a single phase on February 8 and the results be declared on February 11.
The AAP has whooping 67 seats in 70-member Assembly.
