Man sent to jail for six months for molesting school girl

Nanded, Apr 23 (UNI): A man was awarded six months imprisonment and fined Rs 2,500 after he was held guilty for molesting school girl, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, here on Tuesday.

Police said the convict, Sopan Khillare, was a resident of Amba Nagar in Sangvi. He used to molest the girl when she was on her way to school.

On 2 August 2016, the Aerodrome Police Station booked Khillare under relevant sections of the POCSO Act, said the police.

Based on the testimonies of four witnesses, the accused was convicted.
