Man murders wife and her lover in Lohardaga later surrenders himself

Lohardaga, May 10 (UNI) A man beat to death his wife and her lover in Rampur Mahua Toli under Sadar Police Station area of this district and later surrendered before the police after executing the crime.

Upon receiving information, a police team reached on the spot and sent both the bodies for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.

Quoting the husband identified as Sagar Sahu, police today said that yesterday night he had caught his wife in an objectionable situation with her lover Ganesh Thakur after which he in the heat of the moment beat the duo to death using sticks. In the morning, he locked his home and reached to the police station and surrendered after narrating the entire incident.

Sahu claimed that on several occasions he had tried to make her wife mend her ways and even panchayat was held in the village in both of them were asked not to indulge in such acts. However both of them failed to yield to advice.

Later, SDO Jitendra Kumar Sinbgh alongwith a police team reached on the spot and also inquired into the incident from the villagers.
