Mamata Banerjee fondly remembers Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary

Kolkata, Oct 31 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday remembered former Indian PM Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary.

Mamata Banerjee said she was fondly remembering the late Indian leader for her contribution to the nation and also her leadership of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Banerjee tweeted: "Sincere tribute to former Prime Minister Indira ji on her death anniversary. We remember her great contribution to the nation and also her leadership of the Non-Aligned Movement, which she led by focussing on the relationship between disarmament and economic development."

Gandhi passed away on this date in the year 1984.
