Maharashtra: Uddhav Thackeray loses one more MLA as Bangar joins Shinde camp

Mumbai/UNI: Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena camp got another jolt as MLA Santosh Bangar joined new Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Bangar from Kalamnuri Assembly constituency of Hingoli district of Marathwada crossed over to the Shinde camp.

Bangar, who was with Uddhav Thackeray till Sunday and voted in favour of Shiv Sena Speaker nominee, Rajan Salvi, appears to have had a change of heart post the Speaker's election that the BJP candidate Rahul Narwekar won.

Bangar, who led agitation against rebel groups during the last week, was seen alongside Shinde as he proceeded to the Assembly for the floor test.

Late Sunday, Shiv Sena’s Ajay Chaudhary and Sunil Prabhu were de-recognised as group leader and chief whip by the legislative Secretariat, which gave recognition to Shinde and Bharat Gogawale in their place respectively.
