Maharashtra: Two Naxals killed in Gadchiroli

Nagpur, Sep 15 (UNI) Two Naxals were killed in an encounter with the security forces in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, police said.

According to police, the gun-battle took place on Sunday morning in Narkasa forest area falling under Gyarapatti police when commandos of C-60, a specialised anti-naxal Unit, were combing the area.


Though two bodies- one male and another female naxals have been recovered from the spot, their identity are yet to be ascertained, police said.


The search for more bodies is still going on inside the forest of Gadchiroli, police said adding that the police team has also recovered some important items from the Naxals.
