Maharashtra: Two brothers sustain serious injuries as phone battery explodes

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 6 (UNI) Two minor children sustained serious injuries when the battery of a mobile phone reportedly exploded in their hands in Shirur village of Vaijapur taluka here on Monday.

According to police,the mishap occurred this morning when the duo victims-Krishna Jadhav (8) and Kartik Jadhav (5)-who are brothers were fiddling with the battery of their father's mobile.

The mobile phone's battery suddenly exploded and inflicted serious injures on the hands and faces of both, said reports.

The minor victims were immediately rushed to a private hospital and after administering preliminary treatment they were taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital(GMCH),informed police.
