New Delhi/UNI: The Eknath Shinde faction of the Shiv Sena on Sunday moved the Supreme Court, seeking immediate intervention on many issues, including that of the disqualification notice, rejection of the no-confidence motion, as well as appointment of the Legislative Party leader.

A two-Judge Vacation Bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Surya Kant and also comprising Justice J B Pardiwala, will hear the petition on Monday.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Minister Uday Samant today reached Assam's Guwahati and joined the rebel MLAs, media reports said.

He is the ninth minister to join the Eknath Shinde camp.

Shiv Sena has decided to take action against the rebel MLAs. According to sources, ministers Eknath Shinde, Gulabrao Patil, Dada Bhuse are likely to lose their portfolios, reported NDTV.

Despite losing the majority, team Thackeray has dismissed Shinde's assertion that he will stake claim for the party symbol.
