Maharashtra: BJP-Shiv Sena leads in 8 of 10 seats in Vidarbha

Nagpur, May 23 (UNI) Early trends in the morning showed that BJP-Shiv Sena alliance was sweeping all the ten seats of Vidarbha, but the trend changed a little with Independent candidate from Amravati Navneet Rana of Yuva Swabhiman Party and Congress candidate from Chandrapur Suresh alias Balu Dhanorkar taking the lead over their respective rivals.

The trends till 1400 hrs suggested that of the 10 seats in Vidarbha the BJP-SS was leading on eight seats while, one each to Independent and Congress, respectively.

In Amravati, Independent candidate Navneet Rana took a lead of 17,314 votes over her Shiv Sena rival Anandrao Adsul.

Rana secured 2,63,171 votes while Mr Adsul got 2,45857 votes.

In Chandrapur constituency, Congress candidate Suresh alias Balu Dhanorkar with a marginal lead of 7523,polling 1,11,370 votes and BJP MP Hansraj Ahir got 1,03,847 votes.
