Madhya Pradesh: 12 people die as bus plunges into Narmada River

Dhar: At least 12 people died and 15 others were hurt as a bus plunged into the Narmada River on Monday after veering off a bridge at Khalghat in the vicinity of the Dhar-Khargone district border.

Indore’s Divisional Commissioner Pawan Kumar Sharma directed both districts’ collectors to rush to the scene.

Meanwhile, law-enforcement and NDRF personnel from Khargone’s Khaltaka, Dhar’s Dhamnod and other adjoining areas reached the place.

According to preliminary reports, only a couple of passengers have been rescued thus far.
