Lucknow: Administrative officer of Kabir Math injured in firing

Lucknow/UNI: Administrative officer of the Kabir Math was critically injured when someone shot at him from a close distance in the math in Daliganj area of the city on Monday morning, Additional DCP Rajesh Kumar Srivastava said here.

Dhirendra Das was wounded and has been rushed to the Trauma centre.

The police officer said that the investigation was underway.

The 50-year-old Das was attacked by someone who came to the math for booking for a marriage function, sources said.

The person who fired on Dhirendra escaped after firing .

Sources said in 2015 too, a similar incident occurred when someone fired on Dhirendra but he escaped unhurt.

During the investigation it was found that some personal issues were related to the firing.
