Lotus will bloom in Kashmir: Hina

Srinagar, Dec 23 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the high profile Amira Kadal constituency in Kashmir Hina Bhat on Tuesday said she was confident that the lotus would bloom in the valley.

“The BJP has won the hearts of people. We will form the government,” Bhat told NDTV.

The Amira Kadal seat is also contested by the kingpin of the terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin.

At around 10-30 am, the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir was leading in 23 seats of the total 87 seats and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 24 while the National Conference (NC) of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was trailing behind them at 18. The Congress was leading in 16 seats.
