#LokSabhaElection2019: BJP releases new list of 48 candidates

New Delhi, Mar 23 (IBNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released a new list consisting of names of 48 candidates who will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

Out of 48, one candidate will fight as an Independent with the BJP's support.

Sumalatha will fight as an Independent candidate from Karnataka's Mandya constituency.

BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) secretary JP Nadda also announced the candidates' names for by-elections in Goa and Gujarat Assembly elections.

The 17th Lok Sabha elections will begin on Apr 11 and end on May 19.

The poll results will be declared on Mar 23.

Union Minister and BJP leader Uma Bharti, who has decided not to contest election but work for the organisation, has been appointed as the saffron outfit's national vice president by party chief Amit Shah.
