New Delhi, Jul 1 (IBNS) Alleging that former IPL boss Lalit Modi had offered job to a family member of a BJP minister the Congress on Wednesday demanded an inquiry into it by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Lalit Modi, the Indian fugitive, also made an offer to a family member of a minister. Why did he do so ? We want the Prime Minister to inquire," Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said.

He, however, did not name the minister whose kin was allegedly offered a job by Lalit Modi who is stated to have indulged in scam and money laundering during his stint as Indian Premier League Commissioner.

"Congress has asked the Prime Minister to make a full disclosure of facts and evidence so that the truth comes out. We have placed before the Prime Minister all the documents that are available," he said.

"We should all know how Lalit Modi was being helped and why was he being helped being an Indian fugitive," Surjewala  added.

The BJP is already struggling to ward off the opposition attacks for the help external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj  and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had extended to Modi which has become a major issue in the county.
