Lakhimpur Kheri: Ashish Mishra alias Monu, who is the son of  Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni, was arrested on Saturday after questioning by the Special Investigation Team in connection with the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri region of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday where eight people, including four farmers, were killed.

Ashish is accused of running over the farmers.

Ashish appeared before the Crime Branch earlier in the day for questioning.

The first car drove into a group of protesters, who were walking with flags, at an unexpectedly high speed, followed by the two other cars.
