Kolkata: 10 Nigerians booked for staying without valid documents

Kolkata, Jan 7 (IBNS): Based on credible source inputs, the Kolkata Police on Friday midnight arrested as many as ten Nigerians from Ahalyanagar area under Purba Jadavpur Police Station limits in southern Kolkata for staying in the city with expired passports and visas, reports said.

The Nigerians have been charged under section 14A(b) of the Foreigners (Amendment) Act 2004.

They were produced in a city court on Saturday and sent to judicial custody till Jan 21.
