Kathmandu, May 25 (IBNS): A key associate of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been arrested by the Nepal police from the Himalayan nation, media reports said.

According to media reports, Yunus Ansari, the associate of Dawood, was carrying out illegal activities for ISI in Nepal.

Along with Ansari, three Pakistani nationals were nabbed with around Rs 7.5 crore of fake Indian currency notes, reported India Today.

Nepal police officials stated Ansari was very close to Dawood Ibrahim and pumped FICN into India on the orders of ISI.

Ansari is the son former Nepal minister Saleem Ansari, both of whom are close to D-Company, UNI news agency reported.

Indian intel had earlier alerted Nepal Police following which a trap was laid at Kathmandu airport where the accused was nabbed.

The Pakistan aides were identified as Mohammad Nasrudin, Mohammad Athar and Nadia Ambar.

They were carrying FICN in three suitcases. Ansari had gone to the airport to receive the three of them.

All the accused are still being questioned. Yunus was earlier in jail and after his release he travelled to Pakistan where he got in touch with D-Company.
