Thiruvananthapuram/UNI: The second day of the Kerala leg of Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, commenced Monday from Vellayani Junction with the participation of hundreds of people in the district here.

Serpentine queues were seen on both sides of the road to witness the padayatra led by the Wayanad MP from early morning.

The foot march will make a halt at Pattom at 11 am and resume at 5 pm to reach Kazhakuttom in this city.

The Congress leader is also expected to interact with eminent people and representatives of various organisations including the Vizhinjam and SilverLine protesters.

The 19-day-leg of the state march from Sept 11 to 29 is raising the slogan ‘Mile Kadam, Jude Vatan’ (step by step we unite India).

It will cross seven districts and cover 450 km in the state.

The all-India march will cover 3,750 km and pass through 12 States and two Union territories in 150 days.
