Kerala: Five killed as car collides with lorry

Alappuzha/UNI: Five people were killed on the spot when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry at an overbridge in Ambalapuzha on NH-66 on Monday morning.

The victims, canteen employees of ISRO, were identified as Shijin Das (25), Manu (24), Prasad (25), Amal (28), Sumod (30).

Their bodies were shifted to the Vandanam Government Medical College Hospital, sources said.

The accident happened when they were going to attend a marriage function.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the tragic death of the youths in the road accident.
