Kerala: DRI officials seize 25 kgs of gold from passenger at Thiruvananthapuram Intl Airport

Thiruvananthapuram, May 13 (UNI) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) sleuths seized 25 kgs of gold worth about Rs 8 crore from a passenger who arrived at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Monday.

The gold was seized from the passenger Sunil of Thirumala in this district. He arrived here from Oman by a flight in the morning, sources said.

The contraband gold was kept hidden in a bag in the form of gold biscuits.

This is the second major gold haul at the Airport wit in a fortnight.

On April 30, about 10 kgs of gold was seized from a contract employee at the
